Dr. Levey is a leading expert in both robotic and laparoscopic minimally-invasive gynecological surgery, specializing in the surgical treatment of fibroid tumors, endometriosis, abnormal uterine bleeding, and chronic pelvic pain. Board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and one of the most experienced gynecologic robotic surgeons in the New York area, he uses the da Vinci to perform robot-assisted hysterectomies, myomectomies and other gynecologic procedures on a weekly basis. He is also the founder and director of the NY Pelvic Pain and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery P.C., a group of subspecialty physicians that focuses on unique multidisciplinary approaches to diagnosing and treating women with chronic pelvic pain.
Dr. Levey has authored or co-authored numerous journal articles, abstracts, presentations and book chapters on the management of chronic pelvic pain, abnormal uterine bleeding and other gynecologic conditions.
Dr. Levey received his medical degree from the State University of New York, Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 1997. He subsequently earned a Masters in Public Health degree from George Washington University School of Public Health, going on complete his post-doctoral medical training at George Washington University Hospital. In 2001 he was named to the faculty at NYU Langone Medical Center, where he served as medical director of the NYU Center for Pelvic Pain and Minimally Invasive Gyenologic Surgery from 2002 through 2006.
